Australia faces a critical shortage of Indigenous talent in tech, with only 1,402 Indigenous ICT workers reported in the 2021 Census. Many young Indigenous Australians face barriers to accessing technology and skills. We’re changing this, but it starts with you.

Position Opening: Join Our Team as a GIS Consulting Lead
Winyama is looking for a GIS Consulting Lead to join our team, reporting to the General Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic and growing spatial consulting team within an Indigenous-owned and operated business.
We’re looking for someone with:
5+ years in GIS consulting or a similar role
Experience in project management and client services
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior staff
Proficiency in spatial technologies (e.g., Esri, FME, QGIS)
Commitment to a culturally safe and inclusive workplace
A degree in geomatics, project management, or IT is desirable, but industry experience is valued.
