Fulcrum and Winyama announce partnership to service Indigenous Ranger Programs

PERTH, AUSTRALIA—August 23, 2021—Winyama, an Indigenous-owned and operated geospatial business, today announced a strategic partnership with Fulcrum, a leading provider of no-code field inspection management solutions. The partnership will allow Winyama to deliver a range of location-aware field applications to the large cohort of Indigenous ranger groups in Australia.

Fulcrum in practice

Through the Indigenous Mapping Workshop Australia, a community mapping program run by the Winyama team, it became evidently clear that Australia’s Indigenous ranger program had become quite familiar with Fulcrum’s no-code, software as a service (SaaS) platform. Winyama seeks to accelerate the adoption of a wider range of applications in Fulcrum within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in order to serve a myriad of inspection oriented data collection, workflow automation and reporting needs.

Andrew Dowding, Managing Director at Winyama, said that Fulcrum apps and forms work extremely well for Indigenous Ranger Groups caring for Country, due to the easy-to-use mobile interface and offline data collection options.

“We know that Fulcrum is one of the technologies of choice for offline data collection, we have responded to this by providing additional value to Indigenous Ranger Organisations by creating real-time Google Cloud dashboards that monitor field work tasks for team efficiency using their Fulcrum data,” said Andrew.

Through replacing paper forms and spreadsheets with digitised mobile data collection, Fulcrum automates workflows, reduces the risk of human errors, and provides data driven insights via automatic reports straight from the field, making it perfect for remote field work and data collection in Australia’s regional areas.

The partnership is significant for the Fulcrum team as Winyama is its first Australian Indigenous partner within the network. The team was delighted to hear about the applications of their software within Australia’s Indigenous communities and hopes that the expertise provided by Winyama will create further opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to use their technology to care for lands and waters.

“We share Winyama’s mission of serving the Indigenous community with best in class solutions for field inspections management,” said Jeremy Nazarian, Chief Marketing Officer. “We look forward to partnering with them to provide the technical and business resources needed to meet market demand” he said.
